A PM’s Core Responsibilities
A product manager’s day-to-day work usually spans five areas:
- Discovery: understand users, pain points, and market context
- Prioritization: choose what matters now and what can wait
- Delivery: clarify scope, sequence, and decisions during execution
- Measurement: define success and inspect results after release
- Alignment: keep stakeholders informed and teams moving together
The mix changes by company, but these responsibilities show up almost everywhere.
